Mother's Day

Mother's Day is on May 10th - as it is one of the busiest days of the year to be assured of your table you will need to book early.

We start at 11am and going through to 4 pm and then from 6 pm till late. See the Mother's Day menu.

Social Wine Club

Social Wine Club

The April Social wine club mix up was my fault - my apologies. For May I have a speaker on the 21st of May with Martin Cahnbley from Planet Wine in Auckland who will match Unison Wines from Gimblett Gravels in Hawke’s Bay with my menu.

Please note: the date is the 21st of May rather than the 28th (normally our club night is held on the last Thursday of the month).

Menu Changes

This week we will also change the evening menu with new scrumptious dishes for winter:

  • Platter for two with a grilled sirloin steak sauce béarnaise with vegetables and agria wedges
  • Kassler with sauerkraut and mash potatoes
  • Grilled lamb cutlets with a herb sauce on kumara mash and green beans
  • A delicious 300g free range pork cutlet with a mustard cream (or a sauce of your choice) with a garden fresh salad and agria wedges

These dishes and more are on our menu page.

One of our Regulars

This is Maude Steel on her 102nd birthday here at Waitete. She has been coming to celebrate since her 95th and she told me on her 102nd that I am her favorite chef and Waitete is her favorite Restaurant.

Ever had an 102 year old admirer? I feel very privileged.
