Experience fine dining and enjoy our cuisine made with fresh produce, locally sourced where possible.  We have a menu to satisfy all tastes.  We are family friendly while being fully licensed and providing a number of fine wines and beers.

Opening Hours:

Until further notice we will be open 7 days lunch and dinner and we are looking forward to seeing you here.

We will be open on Public Holiday Mondays for lunch and dinner.


July day has passed!

Summer is on the way with the shortest day having just flown by and the year is half over – where has it gone? June was a very quiet month for us with all wild weather we had but at least it was not cold.

We are hoping for warm weather to continue to get people out and about especially with riders on the Hauraki Rail Trail as we have been pleased at the growth starting to happen with our location becoming more widely known.

Wine Club

Wine Club

The last social wine club was another successful evening with Steve Bird of Steve Bird Wines.

There were great food and wine matches on the night with my favourite being the 2011 pinot noir but then I biased as I like red wine.

For the next wine club night we have a guest presenter in Martin Cahnbley of Planet Wines from Auckland with a range of South American wines and a chef from Argentina in Andrea Nucifora in the kitchen – it has all the ingredients for a wonderful night.

We go a bit exotic with an Argentinean chef and a great night is planned. A request has been made made to clean out the backroom and have tango music on hand for a after party for the dancers in our group – come along as it should be a fun night.

Chef's Dish for July

Special dish of the month is a pork scotch filet schnitzel, crumbed with our Waitete fries and salad or with a German potato salad and gravy as eaten in south Germany.

Ready Cooked Meals

A range of our ready cooked take out meals is available for sale at the restaurant – great for a winter’s night when you are short on time. Just heat and enjoy – curries, veal strips, lasagna, German meat loaf and more.
