Mother's Day is on May 10th - as it is one of the busiest days of the year to be assured of your table you will need to book early.
We start at 11am and going through to 4 pm and then from 6 pm till late. See the Mother's Day menu.
The April Social wine club mix up was my fault - my apologies. For May I have a speaker on the 21st of May with Martin Cahnbley from Planet Wine in Auckland who will match Unison Wines from Gimblett Gravels in Hawke’s Bay with my menu.

This is Maude Steel on her 102nd birthday here at Waitete. She has been coming to celebrate since her 95th and she told me on her 102nd that I am her favorite chef and Waitete is her favorite Restaurant.

... We were not keen on going to a pub because we wanted to experience a celebration for completing our bike ride around the Coromandel. We asked the same question of the manager of the Waihi Motor Camp and she recommended the Waitete Restaurant just down the road from the camp. We ate there and could now recommend the restaurant to any of our friends visiting Waihi.
The meal, the host and ambience were all excellent – just what we would expect from a top restaurant.
