January has come and gone in a flash and now its February - wow time is flying again in 2015!
January was lovely and warm as summer finally arrived plus it was a good month with good customer numbers that included with a few birthdays in the 90’s coupled with a great variety of foreign visitors.
Rebecca has been cooking at night over the last few weeks with guests complimenting the chef and not realizing that it was Rebecca cooking each night. Rebecca has just come out of her time as an apprentice and is taking to the role as chef amazingly well – keep up the great work!
Our social wine club will start in this month with Lamont Wines from Central Otago and our guest speaker being Craig the winemaker, come along and enjoy a top night and provide us a good start to the wine club season.
On Sunday 15th of February we will be closed for lunch as we again host the Porsche club for lunch but we will be open as normal in the evening.
Our new menu and new wine list has been up since early December with some exciting changes and a great wine list created by Cameron Douglas MS. Come in and sample the wines and our menu for yourself - you won’t be disappointed.
Special dish of the month - Check with your waiter/waitress in the restaurant for the daily specials available.
Ready cooked meals - A range of our ready cooked take out meals is available for sale at the restaurant. Great for a night when you are short on time - just heat and enjoy – curries,veal strips, lasagna, German meat loaf and more.

My partner and I found this restaurant by chance and are thrilled we did.
We arrived on an evening when Roland was running the restaurant single handed and how well he handled this challenge.
The food was excellent, I had the beef cheek which was the most tender beef I have ever had. My partner had the duck and was suitably impressed. We decided to finish with the home made ice-cream … delightful especially the licorice. All this topped with Roland’s knowledge and love of food and wine made a wonderful experience for us. WELL DONE.
